The Valencian government has activated pre-emergency level 3, representing the highest risk of forest fires, throughout the Valencian Community. This measure, in effect since [date missing], Monday, July 6Until the Thursday, July 9, both inclusive, has been adopted by the extreme risk of forest fires, high temperatures and the possibility of dry thunderstorms. The joint resolution was issued by the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response and the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Territory.
Immediate restrictions in the face of extreme risk
The declaration of the maximum risk level entails the application of a series of mandatory prohibitions in forest lands and their area of influence (up to 500 meters) of the Valencian Community.
These include:
- The prohibition of the transit of people through paths and cross-country.
- The suspension of works and activities on forest land or in its vicinity.
- The suspension of the festive-recreational use of fire for festive reasons.
- The general prohibition of lighting any type of fire.
- The suspension of any type of authorization granted for sports circulation through forest land.

This prohibition does not apply to the transit of vehicles for management, supply, maintenance, surveillance, access to residences, agricultural holdings or service facilities located within natural parks.
Impact on sports and recreational activities
A ban has also been established on any sporting event that takes place in forest land, and those already authorized for the indicated period have been suspended.
