The El Poble Nou de Benitatxell Town Council has unveiled the complete overhaul of its digital tourism platform. This cutting-edge tool is positioned as the cornerstone of the destination's tourism promotion and innovation strategy, offering an interactive, inclusive, and sustainable experience for residents and visitors alike.
Brand image and innovative design
La new web This represents a significant evolution in Benitatxell's brand image, with a renewed and modernized visual appearance. The website features a sleek, fresh, and aesthetically pleasing design, centered on large-format photographs, a clean and intuitive interface, and a carefully curated color palette aligned with the "Respira mediterrani" (Breathe Mediterranean) brand. This aesthetic modernization ensures a smooth and comfortable navigation experience, adapted to any mobile device or screen.
Far from being a static portal, the new website has been designed as an open and constantly updated platform. It is designed to host real-time data and information that will be incorporated in the near future. This includes the availability and capacity of municipal parking facilities, weather data, and visitor flow indicators, thus reinforcing the Smart Tourist Destination model.
Universal accessibility without barriers
One of the portal's most outstanding features is its powerful adaptive universal accessibility system. Its design can be fully customized so that anyone, regardless of their physical, visual, auditory, or cognitive abilities, or the device they use to browse, can understand the website and explore its content without encountering barriers. Features include a seizure-safe profile, a mode for people with dyslexia, assisted reading, text size and contrast adjustment, keyboard navigation, and full compatibility with screen readers.
Advanced planning features
To facilitate tailor-made trip planning, the platform allows users to interact with and save places, accommodationsRoutes or plans can be saved in the "My Favorites" section. Once this personalized selection is created, the user can access it again or share it directly with other devices via a link or an instantly generated QR code. Another key operational innovation of the new portal is the unification and centralization of the municipality's major tourist experiences on a single digital platform, integrating content that was previously scattered across separate external websites.
In this way, visitors can enjoy all the offerings without leaving the main website. Among them are:
- "Museu al Vent", which directly incorporates its audio-guided routes, interpretive content and the 360º virtual reality experience to explore local heritage into the portal.
- "Turisme per a Respirar" (Tourism for Breathing), which brings together the complete catalog of audio recordings of guided meditations recorded in emblematic locations such as the Cala Moraig or Morro Roabit.
- The "Olimp Ciclista" project, which brings together routes, topographic profiles and specialized services for cycling enthusiasts.
The support of the "Respira mediterrani" brand
The platform is strategically positioned within the municipal tourism brand "Respira mediterrani" (Breathe Mediterranean), promoted by the town council to reclaim the municipality's unique narrative. This initiative aims to move Benitatxell away from overcrowding and the simplistic tourist experience. sun and beach, highlighting its roots, its agricultural past (the Muscatel terraces, the dry stone, the riuraus), its old town and respect for the local population and the environment.
Councilor for Tourism, Víctor BisquertHe emphasized that "This new website faithfully reflects the destination model we want to build: a dynamic tool that puts innovation at the service of sustainability, quality of life, and respect for our natural and cultural heritage." For his part, the Councilor for New Technologies, Javi Cabrera, remarked that "from a technological standpoint, we have made an exponential leap by developing an open, accessible infrastructure, without barriers for anyone, and capable of progressively integrating real-time data to optimize municipal management."
This action is part of the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD) of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, financed by the European Union through the funds Next Generation US within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain.
