The Department of Sports The Calp Town Council is carrying out a program of works this summer to renovate, repair, and improve municipal sports facilities. These works, which represent an investment of 189.268 EurosThese improvements will allow the various facilities to face the new sports season in optimal conditions of use, safety, and functionality. The works are concentrated on the Municipal Football Field, Esplai Parc, the Municipal Swimming Pool, and the Domingo Crespo and Ifac pavilions, with completion scheduled for September.
One of the most notable projects is focused on the Municipal Football Field, where the changing rooms are being renovated with an investment of 52.324,25 EurosThe works include replacing the flooring in the three changing rooms and the access tunnel, and renovating the benchesThe work includes repairing the tiles and mosaics on the walls, as well as replacing the lighting and doors. Additionally, other work is being carried out painting interior in all areas.
At Esplai Parc, the changing rooms are also being renovated, with the mosaic tile flooring in the showers of all five changing rooms being replaced and damaged tiles being repaired. Benches and lighting are being replaced, and painting is also underway. This project is complemented by the transformation of the former Esplai Parc storage area into a new multipurpose room for sports activities, with updated flooring and lighting. The total cost of these improvements at Esplai Parc amounts to 35.588,23 Euros.
The Municipal Swimming Pool is also part of this renovation plan, with actions valued at 26.983 EurosHere, the changing room flooring has been replaced with microcement with an epoxy finish, the lighting and ceiling panels have been renovated, and interior painting work has been carried out.
New seating and renovation of the Ifac Pavilion
The improvement program includes the replacement of 1.900 Seats at the Municipal Football Field and at the Domingo Crespo Pavilion, with a joint investment of 35.816 EurosIn the case of the Domingo Crespo Pavilion, this renovation is especially relevant, since the seats had not been replaced since the facilities opened in 1983.
