CREAMA, in collaboration with FUNDEUN (Business-University Foundation of Alicante), has organized the conference "Innovation is possible: success stories of innovating municipalities", which will be held next Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in the Portal del Clot building de Xàbia, 10 to 00 pmThis meeting is aimed at the municipalities of the Marina Alta region with the purpose of bringing their officials and professionals closer to real experiences of municipalities that have promoted innovative projects.
The initiative stems from a key question: "Why do some municipalities innovate while others don't?" The workshop will offer participants a path to fostering innovation within their local government, identifying key factors and how to transfer best practices to municipalities of varying sizes and resources. It is specifically aimed at town clerks, auditors, treasurers, and local government technical staff, who play a fundamental role as agents of change.
Keys to innovation in local management
During the session, crucial aspects such as leadership, community engagement, collaboration, technology, planning, and funding will be addressed. These elements can make all the difference in transforming a municipal idea or need into an innovative project with real impact.
