The historic center of Teulada is preparing to host a new edition of the Medieval Market, a summer event that will fill the town with life. Shows, The music, crafts, gastronomy and entertainment for all ages. The event, organized by Municipality of Teulada, will be held from August 6 to 9, 2026, offering residents and visitors an immersive experience that will transport the streets of the old town back to medieval times.

For four days, the market will remain open 19 to 00 pmThe official opening will take place on Thursday August 6 at 20:00h with a grand musical parade featuring the participation of associations Local dances, the royal jester and the falconer, marking the start of a program full of traveling shows, workshops participatory activities and exhibitions of artisan crafts.

Featured shows and activities

Among the main attractions are the fire shows and juggling performances that will provide a spectacular finale to each day in Plaza España. Street parades featuring knights, jesters, stilt walkers, musicians, and other fantastical characters will enliven the city center. Falconry displays and knightly duels will also be offered, recreating the essence of the medieval era.

The program also includes numerous activities aimed at children and families, such as the squire school, interactive storytelling, , Medieval activities include rune workshops, magic wand making, medieval dances, and archery duels. For adults, there are workshops on combat tactics and gypsy dances. In addition, the market will feature a giant chessboard and a wide selection of traditional crafts and food.

Furthermore, following last year's reception, the Sunday 9 August at 20:00hcome back Candlelight Concert, composed of a piano and cello duo in the church of Saint Catherine Martyr.

Local culture and heritage

The councilor of Culture, Veronica MartinezMartínez emphasized that the City Council continues "to support initiatives that bring culture closer to the public and, at the same time, contribute to showcasing our historical heritage." He added that the Medieval Market is "an example of how tradition, culture, and revitalizing the municipality can go hand in hand to offer a unique experience."

The Teulada City Council appreciates the collaboration of the Colla El Falçó Teulada, the Choral Teuladina, the Associació de Traginers Alejandro Morell, the Grup de Danses Font Santa Teulada, the Associació VIé Centenari de Sant Vicent Ferrer, the Housewives of Teulada, the queen and ladies-in-waiting of the Commission of Parties Sant Vicent Ferrer 2026, the Sant Vicent Ferrer 2027 Festival Commission and Festeros Sants de la Pedra 2027.
