After the appointments organized in Xàbia y Dénia, the third solidarity event, organized by the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the relevance of combating breast cancer and provide support to those facing this disease. The Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community celebrates the fourth season of these solidarity challenges. In addition, various activities aimed at promoting rowing will be held.
During the morning the 100 Solidarity Shovelfuls Challenge, which has the peculiarity that all its participants have suffered a breast cancerThe distance traveled will be 350 meters and the presence of four teams: Club Rem Marina Dénia, Club Náutico Jávea, Club Nautico Benidorm, Club Náutico Santa Pola, Real Club Regatas Alicante and equipment of the Federation Rowing School.
Both this and the other test will be carried out on the boats of the Valencian Falucho/Llaüt, a style of rowing originating in the Levant. The events will be held at the facilities of the Club Nautico Benidorm, which acts as host, facing a very popular corner of the Costa Blanca such as the Mediterranean balconyThe public will be able to follow the event from this and other points along the coast.
The regatta starts early on Sunday with the first starts of the SUMA challenge for equality, in which seven boats are expected to participate. The course of this event is 700 meters, with a turn.
