The Calp Town Hall today inaugurated a new artistic railing on Cronista Pedro Pastor Pastor Street, overlooking Arenal-Bol Beach. The artwork, entitled "Love of the sea... love"It's by the artist of Xàbia Toni Marí, and pays tribute to the parties traditional and the most representative icons of the municipality.
The event was attended by the artist and Joaquín Roselló, a resident of Calp, who wrote some of the texts at the base of the railing. This new art installation, by 54 linear metersThis new addition joins the first railing designed by Toni Marí and installed on La Fossa beach, which paid homage to Calp's connection to the sea and the fishing industry. The newly inaugurated work seeks to highlight Calp's identity, representing elements such as the Peñón de Ifach (rock formation), the church, and the Bofill buildings.
It also incorporates silhouettes from the parties of Moors and ChristiansThe Bous al Carrer or the Calpe Holy Week, becoming a true open-air cultural canvas that connects the seascape with deep-rooted local traditions.
Technical specifications and location
The railing has been made in galvanized iron and oven-paintedguaranteeing its durability and resistance to marine conditions. Its strategic location on Cronista Pedro Pastor Pastor street allows passersby to enjoy views of Arenal-Bol beach while immersing themselves in Calp's artistic narrative.
The mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, presided over the inauguration ceremony of this significant work of He spoke publicly and thanked everyone involved for their collaboration in making the initiative a reality.
