The clubs of Jávea and Dénia rowed together for the fight against breast cancer in Alicante

Last Saturday, October 25th, Alicante was the setting for the 4th Challenge '100 SUMA Solidarity Shovels Against Breast Cancer and SUMA Challenges for Equality', an event organized by the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community.

This event aims to support people affected by breast cancer and raise awareness. society on the importance of gender equality and support for the fight against this disease.

With the main sponsorship of Suma Gestión Tributaria and the support of member Rimontgó, Baleària, HCB Hospitales and Proindegas, the regatta took place in the Port of Alicante, with the Real Club Regatas Alicante as host.

The calm sea conditions and favorable weather were ideal for a hundred participants to enjoy this charity event, while numerous spectators gathered along the port to support the competitors.

The Marina Alta: presence of Jávea and Dénia

The clubs of the Marina Alta, Jávea y DéniaThey were key players in this event. The Challenge for Equality involved teams from various clubs, including the Jávea Nautical Club with two teams, and the Marina Dénia Rowing Club. These clubs joined forces with others such as the Campello Nautical Club, the Santa Pola Nautical Club, and the Royal Alicante Regatta Club. The JAVEA-A team won the competition, achieving the best time in the different rounds, while the JAVEA-B team finished in 5th place.

On the other hand, in the Challenge '100 Solidarity Shovels'The Regatas Alicante, Marina Dénia, and Santa Pola clubs participated in the race, which is dedicated to breast cancer survivors. In this event, the boats covered a total of 350 meters in a moving tribute to the survivors of this disease.

Next appointment in Oliva

After passing through towns such as Jávea, Dénia, Benidorm and Alicante, the solidarity rowing of the Valencian Community Rowing Federation will continue its tour next Saturday, November 8th in Oliva, offering a new opportunity to provide support to all those fighting against breast cancer.
