Last Sunday, January 25th, the event was held in the municipality of Montserrat II Day of the Jocs Esportius and Autonomous Taekwondo League 2025-2026a competition organized by the Taekwondo Federation of the Valencian Community (FTCV).
At this regional meeting, the Athenea Taekwondo Club of Calp participated with a team made up of 15 taekwondo practitionersobtaining a total of 11 medals in the different categories: 1 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.
Gold and silver medals in several categories
The medal of oro It was achieved by Daniil Bastrich in the Senior male category, after an outstanding performance during the day. In the same category, Fran Ramos got the silver medal.
The remaining medals of plata were achieved by:
- Cassandra Pop, a Girls' Under-12
- Matt Baidal, a Boys' Under-12
- Tymur Tkachenko, a Male Cadet
- Daniil Harasscenko, a Male Cadet
Five bronze medals complete the medal count
Club Athenea also added five bronze medals, obtained by:
- Lilia Mobtil, a Junior women
- Thiago González, a Male Cadet
- Matvii Stakhniuk, a Boys' Under-12
- Bridget ES, a Girls' Under-12
- Lilia Rudyk, a Junior women
Collective effort and family support
The club also wanted to highlight the effort made by the taekwondo practitioners. Unai Clemente, Naid Calatayud, Jacob Fernández and Matthew Cox, who did not win a medal but competed high-level battles.
Likewise, Club Athenea expressed its gratitude constant support from family members, who accompany the team in each championship, cheering on the athletes throughout the competition.
The organization highlights the work of Nora Ruiz Alcázar, Sports Director and Head Coach of the competition team, whose implication results essential to achieve these results. On this day, he had the collaboration of his team of coaches, made up of Carlos Valcarcel, Lucas Reig and Carlos Ruiz.
