The Ondara Town Council will bring the matter to the next plenary session, which will be held this Thursday June 18, the proposal for the approval of the new Job Classification List (RPT).
This key instrument seeks the organization and modernization of the municipal organizational structure and personnel, in force since the year 2006, to adapt to the organizational, regulatory and functional evolution of the council.
The modernization of the municipal structure
The proposed new job classification system, processed as part of the personnel planning and organization process, was developed with expert technical advice. Its main objective is to update the job descriptions, which have been in effect for almost two decades, to meet the current needs of municipal services and improve their efficiency.
Key elements of the new RPT and its negotiation
The new job description incorporates a comprehensive set of technical elements. These include a job evaluation manual, a municipal organizational chart, and individualized job descriptions for each position. These descriptions define the functions, requirements, recruitment process, and compensation characteristics of each role.
The document was previously negotiated at the General Negotiation Table, where all parties agreed and it was unanimously approved to proceed with its administrative processing. Furthermore, the proposal has received favorable reports from the municipal technical services, the Secretariat, and the Comptroller's Office, including an analysis of its economic and budgetary impact.
Compensation and financial sustainability
The job description proposes an update to compensation based on an individualized evaluation of job positions. This evaluation considers criteria such as responsibility, technical difficulty, dedication, and specific conditions, ruling out any linear or generalized increase.
To ensure financial sustainability and municipal budgetary stability, a progressive application of the economic effects of this update has been established over several years.
Towards more efficient management
With this proposal, the Ondara Town Council is moving towards a better organization of its human resources. The goal is to consolidate a structure better adapted to the current needs of municipal services, aimed at improving efficiency and quality in citizen services.
