A new season begins for the Municipal Sports Schools of Ondara, with an important novelty: the merger of the coordination of the Municipal Sports Schools of Ondara under Joan Mut, who since August is the new coordinator of both schools. The aim is to give a boost and strengthen the role of the coordinator, who will be dedicated exclusively to these tasks, solving all the issues that may arise during the weekend.
The new coordinator has been officially presented by the Councillor of Sports, Lluís Fornés, to the members of the Municipal Sports Schools of Football and Basketball From Ondara, in the preliminary meetings held on the occasion of the start of the 2024-25 season. As explained by the Councilor for Sports, Lluís Fornés, following the resignation of the previous football coordinator and the retirement of the basketball coordinator, it was decided to create a more professional coordinator position for both sports, who will dedicate their full day to the coordination functions.
Joan Mut is a Master of Education and Education He has a background in physics and is already familiar with Ondara's municipal sports schools, having previously coached the basketball school; he has also coordinated extracurricular activities at a school. He will combine his role as coordinator with coaching the Ondara women's senior basketball team, the multi-sport school, and the youngest players at the football school.
Among his contributions to the global coordination of basketball and football, there is the creation of a work program by objectives, specific for each category, as well as the creation of internal regulations to be complied with by the educational community (students, families and coaches), with respect as one of the fundamental pillars. In the pre-season meetings, held on August 26 and 27, the importance of projecting an appropriate image by the schools was also stressed, through the obligation to wear the official kit (tracksuit) in the different sports activities.
