Healthcare professionals from Dénia, La Ribera, Torrevieja and Manises are mobilizing: "After the reversions, we want solutions"

The four committees representing staff from the defunct healthcare concessions, which include the departments of La Ribera, Torrevieja, Dénia and Manises, will gather next Tuesday 9 June at 11:00h In front of the Palau de la Generalitat in Valencia. This protest, under the slogan "AFTER THE REVERSIONS: WE WANT SOLUTIONS", seeks to demand solutions from the Ministry of Health in the face of the lack of progress in the statutory process and the breach of the agreements.

The reasons for the protest

The mobilization is a direct consequence of the perceived lack of progress in the announced process of granting the associations statutory status. The last meeting between committee representatives and the Regional Ministry took place in February, without any clear conclusions being reached.

Furthermore, the committees denounce the Ministry of Health's failure to continue negotiations on their respective agreements. This commitment was signed with each committee last year.

Paralysis and its consequences

The Works Councils state that it is no longer possible to prolong this paralysis, which is having serious consequences. According to the councils, this situation is directly resulting in discrimination, breaches of contract, grievances, deception, and a worrying exodus of highly experienced professionals from the affected departments.

This demonstration in front of the Palau de la Generalitat represents the first pressure tactic agreed upon by the committees. The staff representatives do not rule out further action at future meetings if their demands are not met.
