Benidoleig Patron Saint Festivities Program 2026

Benidoleig celebrates its parties The patron saint festivities in honor of Saint Barbara, the Immaculate Conception, and the Holy Blood take place during the month of August. These weeks of celebration are filled with various events organized by festival organizers and young men turning 20. This 2026, the town celebrates them from July 31 to August 15.

Friday July 31

• 21: 00 hours: A popular dinner organized by the El Seguili Musical Group will be held in Plaza del País Valencià. Tickets for the dinner can be collected at the Mengual Supermarket and Bakery until July 28th.
• 22: 00 hours: Concert at the Benidoleig Festival by the El Seguili Musical Group, featuring Pep Gimeno “Botifarra” with the show “Botifarra a Banda”. Sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council.
• 23: 30 hours: Opening speech to kick off the 2026 festivities. Music DJ Juanjo Vera will be spinning tunes until 03:30 a.m. Sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council.

Saturday August 1

• 13: 00 hours: General bell ringing.
• 22: 00 hours: Collection of Festeras and Festeros by the AM El Seguili of Benidoleig.
• 23: 00 hours: Presentation of the Festival Queens and Kings in Plaza del País Valencià. Following this, a grand evening of ball with the spectacular Titanic orchestra.

Sunday 2 August

• 16: 30 hours: Water park at the municipal swimming pool. Sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council. Snacks will be provided for children, courtesy of the Marina Alta Guide.
• 20: 00 hours: Drama The children's show "L'encanteri del drac" (The Enchantment of the Dragon), organized by the Benidoleig Town Council and sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council.

Monday August 3

• Of 10: 00 14 to: 00 hours: Tickets for the community dinners can be collected in the Town Hall basement. The cost is €2 per meal, which includes one drink. Tables and chairs will be available for the dinners.
• 18: 00 hours: An afternoon of fun for children with alternative games, musical games, and a treasure hunt. We encourage all children to participate. Snacks will be provided for the children by the organizing committee.
• 22: 30 hours: Theatre Night in Plaça del País Valencià. The Lolailo Troup company will perform the play "¿I vosté on va?". Refreshments will be served by the festival organizers.

Tuesday August 4

• 18: 00 hours: game Pilota Valenciana sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council and the Festeros 2026.
• Of 19: 00 21 to: 00 hours: Tickets for the community dinners can be collected in the Town Hall basement. The cost is €2 per meal, which includes one drink. Tables and chairs will be available for the dinners.
• For the whole day: Decoration in the streets. There will be prizes. The Festival Committee encourages everyone to have dinner in the street.

Wednesday August 5

• 19: 00 hours: Pub crawl accompanied by the Xaranga AM El Seguili band. Starting from the Plaza de la Diputación and arriving at the festival bar in the Plaza del País Valencià.
• 22: 00 hours: A grand "cocà" (traditional Valencian flatbread) will be held in Plaza del País Valencià. The cocas and drinks can be collected there with the corresponding ticket. We will enjoy musical accompaniment by Grup Somnis. This evening is sponsored by COMPAC (the Aldea de las Cuevas Owners' Association).

Thursday August 6

• 13: 00 hours: General bell ringing.
• 20: 00 hours: Flower offering. All are invited associations and residents of the town to participate. The starting point will be the Plaza de la Diputación and it will be accompanied by the AM El Seguili de Benidoleig.
• 22: 00 hours: Community dinner in Plaça del País Valencià. Chicken with vegetables cooked by Casa Colom. Dinner will be collected there with the corresponding ticket. The festival organizers will offer coca María and mistela.
• 00: 00 hours: Correfoc Foc i Som through the streets of the town.
• 00: 30 hours: Krakatoa Macrodiscomóvil in the Plaza del País Valencià.

Friday August 7

• 09: 30 hours: Awaken through the streets of the town.
• 12: 00 hours: Collection of Festeras and Festeros by the AM El Seguili of Benidoleig.
• 13: 00 hours: Holy Mass in honor of the Immaculate Conception, sung by the Benidoleig Choir. A loud firework display will follow. Beer and traditional tapas will be available for all attendees, courtesy of the 2026 Committee.
• 20: 00 hours: Collection of Festeras and Festeros and collection of the Local Authorities, accompanied by the Musical Group El Seguili de Benidoleig.
• 21: 00 hours: Solemn procession in honor of the Immaculate Conception. At the end, a colorful fireworks display will take place.
• 23: 00 hours: Performance by the famous La Tribu Orchestra in the Plaza del País Valencia.

Saturday August 8

• 09: 30 hours: Awakening through the streets of the town and the firing of salutes.
• 12: 00 hours: Collection of Festival Participants, Festival Participants and Local Authorities by the AM El Seguili.
• 13: 00 hours: Holy Mass sung by the Benidoleig Choir in honor of our patron saint, Saint Barbara. Afterwards, blessed bread will be distributed in the church square. A spectacular firework display will follow, courtesy of Pirotecnia Hermanos Borredà SL.
• 14: 00 hours: I Vermut Musical: a combination of gastronomy, local drinks and live music outdoors, as a meeting point of leisure Daytime. Organized by the 2026 Festival Committee. Sponsored by: Ballista BarStarck States, Bar Tolo's and Mas Construcció. There will be beer "a go-go", courtesy of Chorro Marí de XàbiaWine tasting sponsored by Celler Mas dels Mas de Benidoleig. Tasting of traditional tapas by the Festeros 2026. Musical performance by La Mocha.
• 20: 00 hours: Collection of Festival participants and collection of Local Authorities accompanied by the AM El Seguili.
• 21: 00 hours: Solemn procession in honor of our patron saint, Saint Barbara. We invite the neighborhood to decorate the balconies along the procession route. At the end, there will be a fireworks display by Pirotecnia Hermanos Borredà SL on 9 d'Octubre Street.
• 00: 30 hours: Grand open-air dance in the Plaza del País Valencià with the renowned Monkey Band orchestra.

Sunday 9 August

• 12: 00 hours: Pick-up of Festeras and Festeros by the Xaranga of the Musical Group El Seguili of Benidoleig.
• 13: 00 hours: Holy Mass in honor of the Most Holy Blood. A loud firework display will follow. Afterwards, beer and traditional tapas will be served to all attendees, courtesy of the 2026 Festival Committee.
• 19: 00 hours: Parade of floats and troupes accompanied by the Benibatuka batucada band and the AM El Seguili brass band. Prizes will be awarded. Start and finish at the Plaza de la Diputación. The organizing committee will provide drinks for participants.
• 22: 30 hours: Giant paella cooked by Casa Colom in Plaza del País Valencià. A ticket will be required.
• 23: 30 hours: A spectacular show, "Voices of the Mediterranean Tribute," featuring Fran Viana. Following the show, the prizes for street decorations and floats will be awarded. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.

Monday August 10

• 07: 00 hours: Assembly of platforms and barriers.
• 00: 15 hours: Release of cows and bull from the Coves de Pedreguer livestock farm.

Tuesday August 11

• 19: 00 hours: Carts and opening of the bullfighting bar.
• 20: 00 hours: Release of cows and bull from the Cristian Soler livestock farm in Gata de Gorgos.
• 00: 15 hours: Release of cows and a bull with flaming horns from the La Paloma ranch in Xaló. The bull will be handled by the team of bullfighters from Paiporta.

Wednesday August 12

• 09: 30 hours: Community lunch in Plaza del País Valencià. Following lunch, the traditional Rooster Singing Contest with prizes will take place. Sponsored by the Benidoleig Town Council's Department of Festivals.
• 20: 00 hours: Release of cows and bull from the Fernando Machancoses livestock farm in Xest.
• 00: 15 hours: Release of cows and a bull with flaming horns from the Cristian Soler ranch in Gata de Gorgos. The bull will be run by El Ferratge.

Thursday August 13

• 20: 00 hours: Release of cows and bull from the La Paloma de Xaló ranch.
• 00: 15 hours: Release of cows and a bull with flaming horns from the La Hermandad de Xàbia ranch. The Poco i Cia team will handle the bull-running.

Friday August 14

• 19: 00 hours: Carts.
• 20: 00 hours: Release of cows and a bull from the Coves de Pedreguer ranch. Afterwards, a musical performance by Rumba Dekirós from Paiporta.
• 00: 15 hours: Release of cows and a bull with flaming horns from the Germans Benavent ranch in Quatretonda. The bull will be run by the El Trençat group.

Saturday August 15

• 09: 00 hours: Release of cows and bull from the La Hermandad de Xàbia livestock farm.
• 09: 30 hours: Brotherhood lunch in the Plaza de la Diputación offered by the Quintos of 2006, "l'Esxivarrà", who are celebrating 20 years as Quintos.
• 12: 30 hours: Photo booth operated by "I Love Photocall". Sponsored by the 2026 Festival Committee.
• 13: 30 hours: Pub crawl and fifth-place party with the Xaranga AM El Seguili band from Benidoleig. Starting from Plaza Diputación, where the 2027 Commission's bar will be located.
• 14: 30 hours: Quintada meal. The 2027 Commission will hold a cateringYou can sign up until August 4th. Tickets are available at the supermarket, Bar Ballesta, or from any member of the Commission.
• 16: 00 hours: 360º platform provided by "I Love Photocall". Sponsored by the 2026 Festival Committee.
• 17: 00 hours: Concert by Grup Sonados. Organized by the Department of Festivals, Benidoleig Town Hall.
• 19: 00 hours: DJ Mikel, sponsored by the 2027 Commission and the 1986 class of l'Abandó, which celebrates 40 years of conscripts.
