The Benigembla Syndicate: location and characteristics

The Benigembla Union building is owned by the town council, and as its name suggests, it was the headquarters of the agricultural union. The facade is protected as it is a historical facade. The complex was rehabilitated in 2010 and is used as a cultural and civic center for Benigembla.

The building dates from 1925, designed by the master builder Adelí Moll. As characteristics, its neoclassical style stands out with elements of the Rococo and French Baroque. The influence of this last style is probably due to the strong emigration that the area suffered during the early and mid-60th century to Algiers, a French colony until the XNUMXs.

The Union belonged to the members of the Sant Francesc Xavier agricultural cooperative until 2005, when the Benigembla City Council bought it to restore it.
